What is an Audio Elemental?
A brief overview
An Audio Elemental is a run of the mill Elemental Spirit, except it thrives on the manipulation of sounds instead of Earth, Water, Air, or Fire.
They are the only Elemental Spirits which require all four major Elements:
- Earth provides the stage
- Water is the main building block in the human bodies they inhabit
- Air carries the sounds that fill their souls
- Fire exemplifies the mixture of passion and technology they rely on in order to understand the world around them.
In other words: It's a particularly wordy type of Audio Specialist.

'But Paddy, it sounds like you're saying you think you're better than other musicians.'
I'm an audio specialist, not just a musician.
Calling me a musician would be like calling you a kindergarten student purely because you're capable of reading the book See Spot Run. That's part of your skillset, but you don't limit yourself to just thinking of yourself as a kindergarten student.
It's not a question of 'better'. It's a question of scope and interest vs opportunity and time.
I'm not 'the upgrade'. I'm a versatile-as-hell sidegrade. I'm the result of decades worth of musical exploration that others didn't have the chance to do.
'I don't get it. You write music. What's the big deal, what are you even yaffling on about?'
I am fascinated by audio, which often results in making sounds (such as music) purely out of curiosity.
You need a song where the only instrument is the word 'fuck'? I did that when I was a kid, that's old news.
You need a tune that would equally suit a Medieval coronation, modern midnight hijinks, and a futuristic death scene? I already have three recorded, give me a challenge.
You need a tune that evokes horror, but it HAS to be smaller than 45kb (yes, 45 kilobytes)? Guess what? Did that too.
I don't 'write music'. I 'solve audio problems'. Including audio engineering issues, too. Got audio you need cleaned up? Hit me up.
'So, like, in real terms - what can you do?'
Before I answer that, I have a question for you. What's the actual real-world final number? You know, the very last number in the list of numbers?
But I'm best used in a situation where others won't go because it's 'too weird'.
I'll sound design your zombie kitten that nobody else wants to touch.
I'll rewrite the old Rodney Rude and Kevin Bloody Wilson songs from a woke standpoint (most people who know them would be far too boomer-vibed to even consider the request).
I'll write you a 35-minute-long Techno/Folk fusion track using only animals from Western Europe if that's what your weirdo outsider project needs.
I much prefer composing and creativity, but I'm a dab hand at audio editing and engineering as well. I can also edit videos, but that's barely relevant here.
What can I do?
Depends. What do you need? I don't think of audio like a normal person. If you've tried normal people and they don't get it, well - that's what I'm for. Other people are more skilled than me in specific areas, but very few have all the skills AND are affordable.
Ultimately, there're only three things you really need to know, though:
- If you can imagine the sound/track, I can probably create/write it.
- If I can't create it, I can probably learn how to do it.
- If I can't learn it (everybody has limits), I won't lie about it to you.
